No surprise … it’s still not Affordable.  For the past couple of months, I finished and submitted the manuscript for “Healthcare Affordability: Motivate People, Improve Processes, Increase Performance”, and attended the Society for Health Systems Conference where I presented the framework of Healthcare Affordability … in addition to other projects and activities.

You know … We spend the most in the world on Healthcare, and we’re still no higher than number 11 compared with the rest of the world.  Almost 20% of the U.S.GDP is Healthcare.  Why?

Healthcare providers are incentivized and rewarded to provide services that increase the amount care for their revenue cycle without emphasis on patient centered wellness and quality of life.

Machine and device providers are rewarded on margin without motivation to do what’s best for the patient … and so are service and supply providers, and so are medicine and pharmaceutical providers, and so are insurance and payment providers.

When will we become patient focused above profit focused.  Healthcare Affordability is about Patient Focus, which drives demand increase, which results in profitability!

Pursue Healthcare Affordability!   My question … Who’s First???
