Here we go again … It failed in 2009, it was failing in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, it failed again recently, and here we go again.  Healthcare Affordability has not been reached.

You can’t legislate Healthcare Affordability!  Healthcare Affordability is achieved from an enterprise perspective with focus on the five primary elements; Healthcare Providers, Pharmaceutical Providers, Healthcare Insurance Providers, Healthcare Equipment and Device Providers, Healthcare Service and Material Providers.

What can be legislated, are all the metrics, measures and healthcare performance standards for the healthcare enterprise.  Payments and reimbursements should be dependent on performance.  Best Practice Performance Standards must be established and communicated.  Best Practice Performance for; Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance, Machines and Devices, and Healthcare Services and Material.
